Mario Dragičević
Tax Advisor / lawyer
Mario is a lawyer and tax advisor at BVDV in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He is one of the few advisors in the Netherlands who is a member of both the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB) and the Dutch Bar (NOVA). This allows him to combine tax expertise with legal implementation, and means his services fall under legal privilege or client-attorney privilege (in Dutch “verschoningsrecht”).
As a lawyer and tax advisor, I combine tax expertise with legal implementation. My tax career began in 2011 at Ernst & Young, where I advised multinationals and listed companies and coordinated service providers worldwide. I later shifted my focus to Dutch businesses, major shareholder/directors (DGAs) and family offices. With more than 15 years of varied experience, I can advise on a broad range of matters and also take care of the implementation myself or under my guidance. I also have a soft spot for charities and public benefit organisations (ANBIs).
Where specialist knowledge falls outside my experience or expertise, I do not advise on it myself, but instead engage and coordinate the right specialist in the Netherlands or abroad, so that my clients are fully taken care of. For example, specialists in Spain or Italy, but also specialists in the Netherlands, such as for payroll/wage taxes. Because of this way of service provision and my varied experience, I am also regularly engaged by other lawyers, tax advisors, civil-law notaries and accountants, both for one-off questions and assistance, but also for longer projects and involvement. I take work off my clients’ hands by removing noise and micromanagement. As a result, they have just me as their point of contact, and can therefore refocus on their company and private dealings.
